Jiangyin Kangrun Co., Ltd. is a modern production factory specializing in spinning, fabric textile processing, textile raw materials sales and finished textile products production. With the development of social economy, many textile enterprises have updated their equipment in order to improve the product quality, and a large number of frequency conversion, DC and other equipment have been used, which has increased the nonlinear load in the power grid, resulting in a large number of 5th and 7th harmonics, resulting in harmonic pollution exceeding the standard, lowering the power quality, affecting the normal operation of production equipment, and requiring harmonic control.
Power Quality Problems
The on-site harmonic voltage is mainly divided into two parts, one is caused by the background harmonic of the power grid, and the other is caused by the harmonic current of the load. Considering that harmonic voltage does great harm to capacitor, it is suggested to use Static Var Generator(SVG) instead of capacitor for reactive power compensation. And SVG operation is not affected by voltage distortion rate. At the same time, APF Active Power(Harmonic) Filter is added to control the harmonic current generated by the load and reduce the harmonics to the power grid.
Technical Performance
On-site harmonic current is mainly the 3rd, 5th and 7th harmonic. After modification with YTPQC Static Var Generator and Active Power Filter, the distortion rate of harmonic current is reduced to below 5%(THDi), and the current waveform is close to the standard sine wave. The power quality of the system is greatly improved, and the effect is remarkable.
