There are three options when working with harmonics – reduction, cancellation or diversion.
Active Harmonic Filters (AHF) compensate for harmonics generated by nonlinear loads by generating the same harmonic components in the opposite phase. External Active Harmonic Filters are most suitable for multiple small drives. Active Harmonic Filtering is relatively expensive compared to other methods of attenuating harmonics,but with best filtering effect.The Active Harmonic Filter is also known as Active Harmonic Conditioner.

The DSP&FPGA commands to the IGBT control unit to generate the harmonics spectrum in just phase opposition to the measured harmonic spectrum in a real time basis to nullify the load harmonics.
