In an industrial park in Congo, Africa, industrial production activities are booming. However, the local power grid infrastructure is weak, with poor power supply stability. Frequent voltage fluctuations and power outages have severely restricted the development of the industrial park. To solve this problem, YT Electrical has developed an advanced microgrid system for the industrial park, in which the 100kW PCS plays a crucial role.
Project Background
This industrial park houses multiple manufacturing enterprises, covering industries such as metal processing, machinery manufacturing, and electronic assembly. The power consumption requirements of various enterprise equipment are complex and diverse, including high - power motor equipment and precision electronic equipment with high requirements for power quality. However, the local traditional power grid is difficult to meet the power demands of the industrial park. Frequent power problems have led to equipment damage and production interruptions, causing significant economic losses to enterprises.
YT Electrical deployed a 100kW PCS in the project, and combined it with a photovoltaic array and an energy storage system to build a stable and reliable microgrid. The PCS has powerful power conversion and control capabilities, and can flexibly manage the storage and release of photovoltaic power. During the day when there is sufficient sunlight, the PCS efficiently stores the excess electricity generated by photovoltaics into energy storage devices. At night or when photovoltaic power supply is insufficient, the PCS starts up quickly and stably outputs the stored electricity to ensure continuous production in the industrial park. At the same time, the PCS supports seamless switching between grid - connected and off - grid modes. When the external power grid is supplying power normally, the microgrid operates in coordination with the main grid. The PCS optimizes power distribution to improve power utilization efficiency. Once a fault occurs in the main grid, the PCS can complete the switching within 20ms, enabling the microgrid to operate independently and ensuring that key equipment in the industrial park does not shut down.
